Amsterdam Based Robotics Company Plans to Bring Construction Robots to The US

The company, Monumental, has raised $32 million for funding its construction based robots, and plans to use the money to bring the technology to the US. The autonomous robots use advanced sensors, computer vision, and retractable cranes to lay mortar and bricks. The robots have already been utilized to build walls in 100+ building around the Netherlands and the UK. The construction crew is designed to work along with the robots to maintain supplies, coordinate, and perform maintenance on the robots. With their innovations in construction technology, Monumental plans to help reduce the amount of construction workers needed to cover demand in the US.
