A government order by Prime Minister Hun Manet to crackdown on criminal cybercrime operations has resulted in the arrest of more than 1,000 suspects this week. The government observed that online scams are causing threats and insecurity worldwide, with many of them originating in Southeast Asia. These operations are earning international criminal gangs billions of dollars annually.
