The Seattle Police Department plans to implement StarChase to reduce the risks associated with high-speed pursuits, which can lead to injuries or fatalities among innocent bystanders. With StarChase, police vehicles would be equipped with GPS tracker launchers capable of deploying a tracking tag onto another vehicle, allowing that vehicles location to be monitored remotely.
