ChatGPT and other AI platforms may overtake Google in the near future. ChatGPT's popularity has risen greatly to the point it receives 2.5 billion prompts per day. To put it in perspective, Google is prompted around 14 billion times a day. However, despite these visits, OpenAI may not survive economically if they continue with their current plans. Most users of ChatGPT use the free version so OpenAI currently isn't generating an income proportionate to their popularity.
