Iranian APTs Hackers Attack Transportation and Manufacturing

Iranian threat actors have increased their cyberattacks by 133% against critical infrastructure in the United States during May and June 2025. This escalation coincides with higher geopolitical tensions around the recent Iranian conflict, as cybersecurity researchers observe the campaign targets primarily transportation and manufacturing sectors across U.S. companies. The increase is a significant change in Iranian cyber warfare strategy, with threat intelligence data revealing the number of incidents more than doubled from the previous quarter.
