Microsoft Data Centers Soon Powered by Fusion Power

The startup Helion Energy has planned the construction of a nuclear fusion power plant that aims to power Microsoft data centers. They plan to build the site in Malaga, Washington due to its proximity to grid infrastructure used for the Rock Island Dam hydroelectric plant. Fusion power is an important undertaking due to the little greenhouse gases and radioactive waste it creates. However, it's still under much research to optimize its use and the power plant will likely provide power by 2028.
