Ford Rehires Experienced Engineers After AI Underperformance
Ford has rehired experienced engineers after AI tools failed to perform the same level as them. The Vice President of Ford's vehicle hardware engineering Charlie Poon stated that AI was a tool that was dependent on the way you train it. Poon also stated that the quality of AI tools were not as experienced as their human engineers. Over 300 veteran engineers have been rehired, and the company states that the shift is improving financial performance.
