Facebook is starting to send payments from their $725 million settlement to people who filed claims. Only those who used Facebook for 15 years were able to file claims in 2023 for the improper use and distribution of their information. As stated by a court filing, the payments will be around $29.43 to $38.36. The lawsuits stemmed from the 2018 Cambridge Analytica scandal in which they profiled voters using Facebook's information.
