Three low-severity security flaws were found in the PCIe Integrity and Data Encryption (IDE) feature used in newer PCIe standards (5.0+). Discovered by Intel researchers, the bugs can let an attacker with physical or very low-level access cause devices to process stale or incorrect data, potentially leading to information leaks, privilege escalation, or denial of service. PCI-SIG, CERT/CC, Intel, and AMD advise manufacturers and users to apply updated PCIe 6.0 guidance and firmware fixes, especially for systems that rely on IDE for protecting sensitive data.
