A new startup founded by former Apple researchers, Nuance, is working to make AI less awkward. They are working on new models which are better conversationalists and have more emotional intelligence. Instead of collecting data from around the internet, their models collect information in house from data partners. The startup is using seed funding to grow its team and its research and development arm. The startup will release a model preview to the public later this year.
