While Google’s AI can help make calls, it still can't make calls on its own. Pixel phones will soon have the capability to make calls to businesses with user input. This would include moving business appointments, making restaurant reservations, or placing items on hold. Programmers at Google have found ways to make AI assistant conversation more humanlike and less robotic. Will people want the convenience of an AI assistant on their phone or will they want to make these calls themselves?
