Intel and Google have collaborated to reinforce the role of CPUs and IPUs in AI systems. They believe that CPUs and IPUs are the core of the systems AI runs on, as it provides balance and stability, which is why working with these components will allow cloud providers to deliver more efficient AI systems. This multiyear deal is working on multiple generations of Intel Xeon processors to improve performance across Google's global infrastructure and the next generation of AI-driven cloud services.
