Linkedin has found ways to combat fake profiles
Scams and impersonation are big problems on Linkedin. Linkedin reported 90 million fake profiles have been removed between July - December 2025. To combat this, Linkedin is adding new tools to crack down on fraudulent profiles. Businesses will be allowed to certify that users really worked for them. Users will be allowed to vouch for other users' work histories and profiles as long as they have connected for a full year. These efforts will hopefully curb impersonation and scams on Linkedin, but will it be enough?
