Recently, Engineers at MIT were able to create a robot that can swim underwater and fly in the air. Weighing just about 300 grams, engineers had to balance wing flexibility, flapping frequency, and tail dynamic so the lightweight robot could navigate through both water and air without multiple propulsion systems. The success of this robot is crucial to developing a new generation of aerial-aquatic exploration vehicles.
