NeoCognition Raises $40M to Build Self-Learning AI Agents That Think Like Humans

AI startup NeoCognition has raised $40 million in seed funding to build a new generation of AI agents that learn more like humans, or by gaining expertise over time rather than relying on static training. Founded by researcher Yu Su and spun out of Ohio State University, the company aims to address a major limitation in today’s AI agents: inconsistency and unreliability, with current systems reportedly succeeding only about 50% of the time.
