Exploit, Usbliter8, targets the SecureROM in Apple devices, which is the foundation of Apple's secure boot chain. This exploit requires a physical USB to access the device, and it works against iPhone XS, XR, 11, iPhones with A12 and A13 chips, and Apple Watches with S4 and S5 chips. Though this exploit can't access user data, the USB sends setup packets to the device and allows the attacker to take control of important data in memory, ultimately lowering the device's security level.
