OpenAI and Microsoft announced their new partnership where OpenAI will be granted more autonomy and be able to serve all of its products to customers of any provider, like Google and Amazon. As Microsoft is OpenAI's primary cloud provider and has been investing more than $13 billion in the company over the past couple of years, OpenAI will ship its products on Azure first. OpenAI will continue to pay Microsoft 20%, however, Microsoft will no longer pay revenue to the AI company. Microsoft will continue to have a license for OpenAI's AI models till 2032, but it won't be exclusive.
