These sidewalk delivery robots first gained attention at the 2026 Consumer Electronics Show, with Serve even getting recognition from NVDIA's CEO. Serve originated from a company called Postmates, which was integrated into UberEats. Through these self-delivering robots, Serve is hoping to bring the cost of delivery down to one dollar, compared to the expensive cost of labor that comes with human delivery. They are planning to launch these robots in San Francisco soon.
