ServiceNow Bug Exposed Customer Data to Anyone on the Internet

ServiceNow is a cloud-based platform used by a large number of companies and enterprises to streamline business procedures, and as a result, they handle a vast amount of sensitive customer information. However, an article which was shared on Reddit disclosed that ServiceNow recently handled a bug which allowed unauthenticated users to access customer data without requiring login credentials. The company alleges that this was caused by security researchers searching for vulnerabilities to submit to a bug bounty program, not the work of malicious hackers---no customer information was retained.
