Notorious hacker group ShinyHunters who is known for their pay-or-leak model where they threaten to publish it online unless a ransom is paid, recently gave a firm deadline to Amazon One Medical. ShinyHunters has threatened to leak around 8.8 Terabytes of stolen medical data, which they stole by accessing an older, third-party file-storage system used for old archived records. ShinyHunters also promised future issues to Amazon One Medical if they do not pay the ransom on time. Amazon One Medical confirmed unauthorized access occurred on their systems, adding to the list of companies ShinyHunters has hacked, including DentaQuest.
