St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter reported that the city experienced a targeted cyberattack beginning last Friday. As a precaution, wireless internet has been shut down in all city buildings while officials investigate the extent of the breach. Emergency services, including 911 dispatch, remain fully operational. In response, the Minnesota National Guard’s cyber protection unit was activated by Governor Tim Walz to support the city’s efforts.
