According to Tesla's Q1 2026 update letter, it is confirmed that the production of generation one Optimus robots at the factory in Fremont is well underway. While the company is actively trying to achieve their goal of producing 1 million robots a year in Fremont, they also want to expand their factory in Texas. The long term goal of this facility is to be able to produce up to 10 million robots a year.
