Apple's CEO, Tim Cook, has stepped down as CEO and become the executive chairman of the board. John Ternus, currently Apple's senior vice president of Hardware Engineering, is going to become the new CEO of Apple on September 1, 2026. Out of the many roles Tim Cook will be taking, one of them will be to help engage with policymakers, as he was successful with facing challenges with Trumps administration and tariffs.
