Mark Tanis moves quickly from conception to implementation of information technology solutions that fit your needs precisely no matter the size of the project.

Mark started business as Tanis Information Systems in 2004 after a successful career as an information technology specialist and manager in the aerospace and defense industry as well as in medical device manufacturing. During that time, Mark learned how to provide value to the various organizations of a large corporation such as finance, sales & marketing, manufacturing, engineering, operations, and human resources. With corporate success in leading and developing solutions that span a wide gamut of applications such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Sales Force Automation (SFA), document management, enterprise resource management (ERP), Mark has since brought that knowledge and expertise to serve the needs of a large but specific market – organizations with between 5 and 500 employees.

With a solid understanding of project management and systems engineering principles, coupled with extensive experience with Microsoft based applications and networks, Mark is ready to execute a realistic solution for your business, based on your vision and requirements.

Mark earned his M.S. in engineering from the University of Illinois, Champaign/Urbana campus. He broadened his educational background by earning an M.B.A. from the Claremont Graduate University and sharpened his IT skills while completing an M.S. in Applied Computer Science at Azusa Pacific University. He also was lead faculty member for the University of Phoenix, instructing courses relating to the effective use of technology for business organizations.

He also served on a scholarship committee for the Rotary Club of Pleasanton from 2018-2023, and continues to serve on the advisory board at Las Positas College for their Computer Studies Program. Mark is also a registered practitioner (RP) for the CMMC Ecosystem.

More recently, Mark has engaged with the California Youth Apprenticeship Program, with a focus on cybersecurity.
